This site is a tribute to Tina Jefferis, who was born on May 21, 1929. She died on 6th April 2025 at home peacefully overlooking Downderry as she insisted. She will be missed by family, friends and community groups but wrote

"No Mourning. I've had a marvellous life."

I can still remember Tina and Tim's wedding at Antony church, and the reception at Woolsdon. It was such a lovely summer day. Tina was a friend then, (I was only 11) and has remained so ever since. Such a privilege to be able to join the service for her. An amazing person, kind, energetic, fun and enormously compassionate. May her spirit live on in our hearts.

Tina forms a part of my earliest childhood memories in Downderry, from summer carnivals to village talent shows. In later life she became an extended part of our family, spending many Sunday lunches and over-the-hedge chats with us and Mum and Dad at Rocky Bottom. Tina always had something wise to share, or a funny anecdote, and it was a total pleasure to have had the opportunity to get to know her. Tina had a real zest for life, and was never one to complain, or to turn down the opportunity to be involved in an event. She will never be forgotten.
